Chef Zach made us breakfast today. He looked in the frig... and again, I just do not have food images in my brain, apparently he does. This is when eating in far exceeds eating out.
On your own front porch, on a cool Autumn morning with the warmth of the morning sun on your shoulders.
AUTUMN BREAKFAST SCRAMBLE:
Eggs,
Chicken Apple sausage,
Sweet Potato,
Brussel Sprouts,
Red Onion.
Paired with:
Rosemary Sourdough Toast, Bacon Pepper Jam, Vanilla Chai Tea (the tea was my choice)
Below is Zach schooling me, his mother, in my own kitchen... apparently experience doesn't count as much I thought, lol.
Since I am mostly gluten-free, I wrapped it in an egg crepini and drank Vanilla Chai tea. For everyone else in the house it was paired with: Rosemary Sourdough Toast and Bacon Pepper Jam just to give it that "Je ne sais quoi" which roughly translates, I don't what! or why are all these flavors so wonderful together. If you happen to be gifted with many children, which I was, definitely insist that one should be a professional chef.
These are pics that my 17 yr old daughter told me were not blogworthy. The plan is to learn and get better, but here is hope y'all will forgive my entry level post. I dearly cherish the quote, to whom I have no name to credit but blessings to whomever said it, "Go small and show up!"
And my own mantra:
It's a short life afterall, so savor the sweet!
